
Jury Prize for Lila Avilés
Marrakech Film Festival

In Marrakech Film festival, the jury prize went to Lila Avilés’ debut feature, “The Chambermaid,” about Eve, a maid in Mexico City’s Hotel Presidente Internacional, which Avilés describes as a “high-class prison.”
The Jury members were James Gray, Dakota Johnson, Joana Hadjithomas, Ileana D’Cruz, Lynne Ramsay, Tala Hadid, Daniel Bruhl, Laurent Cantet and Michel Franco.
